Tune: Camberwell
(One tune to 'At the name of Jesus')
Psalm 92 v.1-12
********
It is true, a good thing
To give praise and sing
To give thanks, exalting
You our LORD and King
For your name is most High
Yet your presence nigh
So in celebration
We rejoice, each one
For your lovingkindness
With it us you bless
And too your faithfulness
Shown to us no less
Every morning, evening
Through each day we bring
Praise and worship to you
You do us renew
Play upon instruments
Here God's goodness sense
Join in orchestration
Folk of each nation
For you, LORD, make us glad
We stay no more sad
Works done by your hands are
Great, we triumph share
And your thoughts they be deep
You your sheep do keep
Though wicked know them not
Disaster their lot
For when evil does rise
Their plans do capsize
Flourish a while, then gone
Destroyed, remain none
Bur you, LORD, e'er remain
Holy, pure, unfeign
You most high for ever
Lose your reign never
Your enemies perish
Vain their evil wish
Scattered by your power
You display, your hour
But my strength you exalt
I not stumble, halt
Anointed with fresh oil
Enemies I foil
I shall hear and see sure
When they be no more
[The] Righteous as a strong tree
They shall prosper, see

Great work - all the best - don't sing into the early hours.
Thanks Michael. Yep, must put that sherry down before bed!

A beautiful poem to finish the year, orchi! And we should be grateful for all we have received during the past year, not least the daily uplift from your poems! (No joke, I really mean it!)
Thanks Fred. Sorry for the daily horror too - of me singing 'em! heehee.
