Now that I am 74

I shall not study any more

and should you ever wonder why

I’ll surely forget it when I die.

 

 

Inspiration.

A poet hears it.

A poet sees it.

A poet smells it.

No landscape is hidden.

No subject is beyond words.

Nothing can evade the poet’s pen.

 

 

Their arms raised high in clear blue sky

In exile from the gallows call

their flaws long since exposed.

 

 

Undo the stitches of the bears velvet skin

and talk to the snake who resides therein

and if the snake tries to bit you

sow him back in and seal it with glue.

      Currently tidying up the house - decorations back in the box and half way through the downstairs vacuuming and the darn cleaner is out of charge - good start to the new year !! 🙂

        THANKS MICHAEL ~ Thanks for the Picture of the CHURCH ~ every Village should have one ~ Just in case there is a GOD ! Even DAWKINS wrote (inadvertently) on the LONDON BUSES ~ THERE PROBABLY IS A GOD !
        74 MICHEAL and I thought 34 was OLD ~ It encourages me that your BRUSH & QUILL still actually move Let us all make 2018 the Year of Poetic Inspiration !
        DEATH (in the end) Catches up with us ALL !
        I've has close encounters with BEARS in CANADA and SNAKES in the USA ~ but never (GRACIA DOMINUS) TOGETHER !
