SATURDAY
S aturday’s like any day
‘A nd why is that’ I hear you say
T he reason if I may explain,
‘U nequalled as my favourite day,
R etirement changed the state of play
D ays then all became the same
A nd now I shout hip, hip, hooray
Y es, every day is Saturday’.

It is the same for me Michael, so many Saturdays, so little time.
That's the problem - so little time - thanks Andy.
'I should like to have the time for it', as they say. Ahh, you have got the time for it, but are busy being retired - so much for you to do!
I'm afraid I don't the time to take on more activities - like doing nothing for example - ta muchly Orchi.
The business of being retired comes through so well in this Saturday acrostic Michael - like you I too shout hip hip hooray for a daily Saturday.
Just had lunch and it Satanyday - now for a port and a sleep - happy days - thanks for your comment Fay.
NOW DON'T RUB IT IN MICHEAL ! I've got another 30 years to go (at least !) and even today I hve been out examining East Coastal Erosion with Students for Projects. However I really love my JOB and would hate to retire too soon ~ or to redundantated ~ Thanks for POEM & ABSTRACT ~ Yours BRIAN
You're still a toddler Brian - pleased you love your job as I did mine.

Maybe I should be, but am not retired yet, Michael. Saturday for me is a day of chores, so I am not so sure I would want every day of the week to be like that. 🙂
Like the poem, though!
Our chores are spread over the week - as for cleaning my wife does the upstairs and I do the down. Think I might have got the short straw LoL
I too made a big mistake a few years ago. We decided that whoever is home first cooks supper. Didn't think clearly....my office is at home!
Enjoyed reading your acrostic poem, Michael!
The Acrostic form is one of my favorites!
When one is retired, every day is SATURDAY! Enjoy to the fullest!
Thanks Laura - yes I really do enjoy every day.
