At least I can boast that my home does not
smell like the smell of a charity shop.
Providence ordained that she
Should learn to bear infirmity
The heat of summer soon departs
like joy from lonely widowed hearts.

Three meaningful couplets Michael.
I can see things in the artwork, it will need a great deal of concentration but there is much to see in it.
Thanks Andy - the abstract was done in acrylic using cling film as the painting block. An interesting technique.
Good write and pic Michael.

Welcome
You really are multi-tasking, Michael! You write poems, paint, listen to music and watch TV, all at the same time!!! Kudos!
Oh, btw, love the painting and really, really do like the shorties!
Thanks MICHAEL ~ love the visual ~ exactly how our local wood looked after the snow ~ BLEAK ! BRIAN ~ The couplets tell some home truths ! 1. Michael is able to cope without Charity Shops 2. Ladies are better able to cope wit Pain than Men (very true !) 3. In the UK ~ Summer is always the Season of JOY ~ AMEN ~ Thanks for your daily dose !
A trio of divine couplets Michael.
Well written and beautifully composed.
Keep writing
