DEATH IN A CANYON ~ An Acrostic Sonnet

BRIAN & ANGELA

GRANDEUR OF THE CANYON & THE COLORADO RIVER

DEATH IN A CANYON ~ It is

ESPECIALLY  sad when people die on

A HOLIDAY ~ I have visited

THE GRAND CANYON  by

HELICOPTER ~ unforgettable experience

I APPRECIATED  the uniqueness an

NEOLITHIC  Glory of the Canyon

A HOLIDAY  of a lifetime !  The GRAND

CANYON  is a Geological Masterpiece

ARIZONA  is a very exciting US State

NOT  to be missed on your USA visit ~ But

YOU don't except to be faced with DEATH

Our PRAYERS are with the  Families and .....

NEIGHBOURS of the three Young People from the UK

Thanks for visiting ~ comments welcome ~ BRIAN

In the UK we are very sad that three of our YOUNG

PEOPLE have died on Holiday in the Grand Canyon

in Arizona USA.  It is spectacular and a Helicopter

trip is the best way to appreciate its WONDER. I was

intending to publish a POEM on the HAVASUPAI

Native Americans who live in the CANYON.  See my

picture yesterday of the HAVASU FALLS which is

inside the CANYON.  Because of the fatal crash I will

post the HAVASUPAI POEM next week.  BRIAN XOXOX

Thanks ANDY ~ very very sad ! From experience a Helicopter Trip is the only way to fully appreciate it ~ but it is always hazardous. Last time it happened the 'copters were grounded Yours sadly BRIAN

        Thoughtful write Brian.
Meanwhile - I should go there to sing - it wouldn't torture anyone! or would it echo? lol.

        • BRIAN & ANGELA

Thanks ANDY ~ We have sung in the Canyon and the echo go on forever ~ so be warned ! Please you found the sentiment in the POEM ~ BRIAN

They will always be young and beautiful. The last place they saw was took their breath away. They will never die in bed of cancer. Their dreams had never disappeared. People will always love them.

There is some truth in ~ "Only the favoured die Young !" Some have to suffer old age to maintain the statistics ~ Think of Elvis ~ John Lrennon ~ Michael Jackson ~ Patsy Cline ~ Jim Reeves etc ~ Not a single BUM NOTE between them and forever "40" Thanks for your comment ~ it brought me some solace ~ Yours BRIAN

Such sad news, thanks for posting and sharing. Great tribute to them. Hugs in the spirit--Christina

THANKS CHRISTINA ~ I tried to be serious in my comment. The other THREE (which includes a newly wedded couple) are critical in the VEGAS HOSPITAL ~ They need our prayers. I love the GC and thses incidents do cast a shadow over her. Hundreds (some suicides) have died in the CANYON over the Years. It is all very very sad . I guess the 'Copter Flights will be suspended for a while ~ the IMAX is good but not the same ! Hugs for Solace ~ Brother BRIAN I attended a Funeral late this afternoon (4pm) but GWEN was 90 ! 30 is much too Young and two were Brothers ~ Pray for their Parents @@@@@@@

A caring and thoughtful write on the tragic loss of three young men in that hazardously beautiful canyon.

All accidents are tragic, but I think Holiday accidents are even worse. You leave to have a good time, and then....
                    Well written, Brian.
