          Thank you Fay - the whole issue continues to totally perplex me. Thankfully here in the UK we don't have this problem and ever may it be so.

          Michael - my town had an infamous school shooting (Newtown) but it made no difference to the NRA. There is a violent streak in this country (US) that is sick beyond redemption. I truly believe if we had a coliseum, they'd offer us killing games for a month to celebrate.

                And per capita there are 30 gun deaths in the States compared to one in the UK - it's a no-brainer.

                A true gem of wisdom you have produced here sir! Begs the question why do so many lives have to be lost before the inevitable talks begin.

                On a lighter side, no point in banning guns - its the ammunition which kills.

                    Michael, I could not have said it better myself! Seems to me the USA are regressing back to the days of the wild west. Guns should be made illegal. Period.

                      Thanks so much Fred - from this side of the pond it seems completely baffling. And for Trump to stand up and say he is going to do something about mental health without even a mention of guns is so bizarre it's worthy of a goon show script.
