The Last Rail Ticket

Lorna

I sat in the sun today

Coated against the cold

Facing south and the garden I tend

Sleeping under its bed of snow

And snow melted in patches

In the boxwood

Dripping like the small birds

That hide in their branches

The birds, the sun, the melt, the snow

The beauty

Had me asking

When can I go?

I'm sure there's a place in your mind you visit quite regularly. It's in a realm where perfection can be and is a respite from such days as midwinter brings. I'm sure we all have these places and we daydream.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if when we daydreamed our imaginations could actually meet up and play like the children we've forgotten we really still are!
      Hope this cheered you up.
