Love's Glow.
The advent of love warms frozen soreness
in all stony hearts.
Its melt-down uncovers the edges of icy
unreadiness and
transforms cold into smiles more worthy
of receiving sweet
moments of yield as love's benign freedom
fans to high heated
flame that which once taken hold will never
again allow frosty
defeat to block out future reaching for bliss.
Experience the feel
of love's fateful kiss and give its fire a chance
to liquify previous snow
for love's glow needs nothing more than slow
stoking with gratitude's
coals for it knows those sparks of happiness
will warm wintery shock
as they roast away any petrified heart-chill.

Thanks Fay - yes I might use it in a shortie.
Love has a tenacious will to grow when least expected Fay. And you've captured it quite well here in your poem. Beautiful!
You are so right A.P. - love can take such a firm hold and grow in a flash of unexpected happenings. Thank you for commenting.
A fine write Fay. A quote goes something like this: 'Nothing will get a coat off a man's back sooner than the warm sunshine!' Something like that anyway. Maybe it's from 'Confucius he say.....!'
The comment and quote brought me a smile dear Orchi - - indeed love can warm coats off backs quicker than sunshine at times. Thanks for the read and comment.
Oh yes, i can feel it creeping all over me already. Which is just as well for we are expecting a freeze up!
Ha ha - well there is nothing better than the heat of love to beat the freeze - thanks D.A. for commenting.
