New Car.

Goldfinch60

Off I go in my car,

In my car for the last time.

It has served me well,

But is now due for retirement,

And a new one will take over.

As I drive towards the garage

I have checked that they have shovels,

So that my new car,

Can be dug out of the snow.

New cars are so much fun and smell so wonderful! Good luck! Isn't "heavy snow" untypical for England? Thanks for the music - the high energy level of the orchestra was such fun to watch! I loved the conductor(ess?)!

Thank you Lorna, I enjoyed the ride home in the new car - in the snow.

Good write Gold. You getting that new car today? Or still with the old one in the inclement weather? And is Clement responsible for the snow?! lol.

Got the new car, parked it on the drive and has been there ever since, I thought I had bought a red car but it is looking very white to me.

I always drove company cars and it comes a bit hard when in retirement I have to buy them - but still love the smell of a new one - sadly it'll be another couple of years before my current motor car will need replacement - great read and must now watch the video.

I too used to drive company cars and like you had to start buying cars, this is the third car I have bought since having to buy cars.

            Thanks for the comments Brian.

I have bough a Skoda Citigo, I have no use for a big car anymore as all I do is go around the local area. This is the fourth Skoda I have had, it started with an Octavia which was supplied by my work people as I used to drive all over the country. It is quite funny really that the car that I have just part exchanged had 36,000 mile on the clock and it was five years old, I used to do that 36,000 miles in a year when I was working. When at work I had a works supplied alfa romeo for a while, that went like a rocket!
            Thanks for your comments.
