WITH TIME
A door
might sag and warp
and gutters fall from walls
but moss will soften honeyed stone
with time.

Very nice:)
Thanks Resa - a nice simple form as it's so short.
Cute and visceral.
Glad you liked it - thanks for looking in.
Good write - you've been in my garden then!
Like the water colour.
I bet it's not that bad - the painting is of Foxton Locks near me - a long series of locks and a popular leisure spot with pub and restaurant
Many years ago we went on a barge and went up and down Foxton Locks, good job we were younger then!
Beautiful Michael! Honeyed stoned..... makes you want to cry!
Oh don't cry or I'll go all weak at the knees - just enjoy - thanks Lorna
GOOD MORNING MICHAEL ~ I love CANALS and LONG BOATS best holidays ever ~ scenes from the River Bank ! I agree with the sentiments in the Poem ~ Most things improve with age especially a Good Wine and a Good Woman ! You will LOVE (or hate ?) my POEM 'n PIC today ~ please check ~ YOURS BRIAN
Like to think I've improved but not sure about that - cheers Brian.
A fine write and Pic M.
Cheers O
How long will the moss take to soften the honeyed stone? ages?!
Not long - Kate loves her honey.
To live in a place like this, you might forget time. Lovely, both painting and writing.
Yes a lovely spot to just lose yourself but not in weather like we're having at the moment.
Arithmetic and poetry should never be brought together! However yours here is probably the best ive seen (though i usually glaze over at carefully counted syllables etc). Excellent picture.
Ohh I\'m often on about carefully counted syllables! heehee. I knew my organised mind would start up, and protest about myself writing unequal syallabled lines!
That's quite a compliment - thanks dusk.
Super write and picture.
Pity I didn't marry Kate Moss (KM) instead of Kate Price (KP)! But is she a Botox girl too?!
No but she's got an Oxbot! Now I can't stop smirking at the thought !
