YOU.
You
bundle of heaven-made cuddly innocence,
my morning ray of waiting ritual,
that looked-for gift of anticipatory smiles
as I open my night-weighted eyes,
you
docile bone-loving mistress of patience
have grown yourself into my days.
You
bouquet of warm canine greeting,
my favoured scent of available sweetness,
model of intelligent compatibility
dressing each rising in mutual attraction,
you
perfecter of dumb communication
make my aloneness so touchingly grateful.
Tessa my friend
by craft of affectionate silence
your dog-sense adds spicy laughter to life.

Oh Fay! I already have a picture of you in my head of walking along the coast and now you gave us your little friend to go with it! (Can I ask what kind of dog she is? - I haven't decided whether or not to commit to owning a dog yet but yours certainly melts me!)
She's cute as a button........
Hi Lorna - - little Tessa is a cross between a Chihuahua and a Yorkie -- she has a placid nature and has taken the intelligence and the sturdy body-size of the Yorkie so she makes a great companion. So pleased you enjoyed the read.
Ahh who can resist this write and pic?! I saw similar dog, but white. Tied to a lamp-post while owner wen it not a shop, with its little coat on, and padding cos its paws were cold! aahhh. A sentimental tear fell, besides the ones that fell from the icy blast, making me eyes water!
I know someone who had two Yorpoos I think - cross between Yorkie and Poodle. Or Pooyorks?!
I know an orchipoo, does that count? LOL. Sorry Fay, I couldn't resist.
Yes a crossed-canine can be fun and lots nowadays are gaining in popularity -- thanks for your comments dear Orchi
Thanks Fay. Sadly, the friend had to find new owners for his dogs. They were only small, but too boisterous for when young grandchildren visited I think.
A wonderful write Fay of your Tessa. She's a beautiful girl just like her mom.
Ahh - - - your comment gave me a smile dear A.P. - I shall go to my bed now feeling booootiful just like my four-legged friend. Thank you indeed and an appreciative Woof from Tessa.
Woof.
I don't have a dog but we've got two in the extended family who go mad when we see them. A lovely write about such a wonderful pet.
Glad you enjoyed meeting Tessa and seeing how she uses her Princess Diana eyes - - at least that is what I call that piquant look Michael and she knows just when to use it too. ! -
I've got a granddaughter just like that. She used to model for Joules and we are so proud of her - she's such a loving and warm person and has my wife's eastern eyes and she sure knows how to use them. Err not that I'm comparing her to a dog of course - better stop I think I'm digging myself into a hole. .
A beautiful and sweet write, my dear Fay!
Love that pic of Tessa! She looks adorable! And the way you describe her, she seems perfect! She is fortunate to have you...and you are fortunate to have her! A perfect duo! A perfect companionship!
~Laura~
Oh yes Laura - that little canine won my heart when she was no bigger than the palm of my hand - she is truly adorable and so placid by nature yet knows my intentions before I can speak - - - she has E.S.P. methinks !! - - Thank you so much for your lovely comment.

Thank you Rose for your welcome comment on this little tribute to my lovely pal Tessa - - she is as you put it an "adorable looking dog" - and she knows it too !!!
Thanks FAY ~ One of my Mantras is : A Loving PET can change your life ! In my experience DOGS (and CATS) are the best in the UK ! TESSA obviously does exactly what it says on the Dog Basket ! Every Blessing ~ Thanks for caring & sharing ~ Yours as ever BRIAN ~ A cuddle for TESSA !
A loving pet can truly change lives and Tessa gives me blessings each day with her wonderfully placid nature and intelligent communication - so pleased you enjoyed the read Brian.
