OUR PLANET EARTH ~ An Acrostic Sonnet

BRIAN & ANGELA

PLANET EARTH & MOON ~ A UNIQUE SYSTEM !

OUR PLANET EARTH ~ Is Habitable and

UTOPIAN  because it has Water & Oxygen

RICH SOIL  and an average temperature of 16C

PLANTS  inhale  CO2  and exhale Oxygen

LAND ANIMALS inhale Oxygen and exhale CO2

And they coexist in symbiotic harmony !

NO OTHER Solar Planet has LIFE

EITHER  too HOT (VENUS) or too COLD (MARS)

THEIR ATMOSPHERES ~ mainly CARBON DIOXIDE  !

EACH PLANET'S  Temperature and it's

ATMOSPHERE  is conditioned by distance from the SUN

REALISTICALLY  if we destroy Our Planet

THERE IS NOWHERE ELSE TO GO

HELP US TO SUSTAIN ~ LIFE ON EARTH !

Thanks for visiting ~ comments welcome ~ Love BRIAN

If you have GRANDCHILDREN & GREATGRANDCHILDREN

Ask yourself a question ~ What nature of  Terrestrial

Environment will they inherit in 2100 ~ It's up to YOU !

The primitive EARTH had an atmosphere of CO2 and it

was HOT. As the plants developed the CO2 decreased

and the Oxygen increased ~ allowing the introduction

of Animals ~ First in the SEAS and then  LAND & AIR !

Because Industrial Man has increased atmospheric CO2

from 250 ppm to over 400 ppm we have Global Warming

melting Arctic & Antarctic ice causing sea level rise ~ the

Seas are more acidic (CO2) and warmer hence hurricanes

and tornadoes and it's getting worse !  Be Greener and if

you meet President Trump tell him GLOBAL WARMING is

NOT a Chinese Myth and all GUNS are designed to KILL !

This POEM is presented as a 3 6 5 Acrostic Sonnet ~ OK

So depressingly true Brian - as for "telling Mr. Trump" - he's a madman and no one can tell him anything..... Oh, Mr. Mueller do your stuff............

    • BRIAN & ANGELA

Thanks LORNA ~ The USA still uses a high % of COAL for Electricity Generation (which is why Kentucky ~ and other coal producing States ~ voted Him in) We all have a responsibility to SUSTAIN Planet Earth for our Children ~ Grandchildren etc ! Every Blessing ~ Yours BRIAN

Thanks STEVE ~ Pleased you liked it ! The BIBLE teaches two important things in respect to our PLANET EARTH 1. God created all the Life on Earth in the same order as shown by the PALEONTOLOGICAL RECORD (contemporary accounts are gibberish !) EVOLUTION is a Theory concocted by Scientists because the could not say GOD did it ~ which to them is not BIOLOGY but meta-BIOLOGY ! 2. When GOD introduced H. Sapiens (20,000 BC ?) He created US ~ anatomically similar to the apes (to live on the same Planet) but very different intellectually (Created in IMAGO DEO) Planet of the Apes became Planet of MAN ! GOD gave us responsibility to care for the Planet and alas ~ we have let GOD down and have desecrated the Planet ~ Land ~ Sea & Air ! Thanks for your daily support of BRIANSODES ~ Yours BRIAN

Thanks MICHAEL ~ To Entertain & Educate sinultaneosly is the dream of every Teacher. As you so often demonstrate ~ Poetry is a great vehicle for education and the oral tradition for passing KNOWLEDGE on to the next Generation ~ The Nordic Sagas of Noggin the Nog are a great example of this ! Yours BRIAN

Good write Brian. Yes we need to do what we can to save the earth, it is being destroyed by homo sapiens.

Thanks ANDY ~ Pleased you enjoyed and agree with my prognosis ~ GOD requested us te be CARETAKERS ~ but instead we've been SHARETAKERS and the 10% affluent have taken 90% of the Earths resources and give little back in respect of maintaining the PLANET ~ SHAME ~ Yours BR IAN
