Let the Sun Shine

 

Lord knows

I love the night skies

My window to the universe

Right before my eyes

 

But soon the golden hour

Will give birth to a new day

The Sun peeks over the horizon

Prompting me to feel this way

 

My energy level rises

And my spirits are high

Like a Spring flower smiles

Reaching up to the sky

 

Feel the warmth

As the Sun radiates its heat

And I its joyous recipient

Mesmerized in my seat

 

If you’d like to join me

No need to stand in line

Just sit here beside me

And let the Sun Shine
