Twins

Christina8

Twins lost several years ago

still on my mind

My nightmares remind me

there's no solace to find

To never hear a giggle

or never hear that cry

I must've asked a thousand times,

"God, why'd you take them, why?"

They were only in my womb a while

But I think about them still

I have to believe there's an afterlife

Because I will hold them. I will!

Some people say, "It was for the best!"

I would like to know how they know

Because to me that comment

hits lower than the low

I know my angel babies

have wiped the tears where I lay

And they are playing with the Almighty

in the awesome Kingdom where they stay

Your angel babies are there “playing with the Almighty in the awesome Kingdom”
    ... together with my baby!

I empathize with you...but it was beyond our control. We have to take solace in that! Thinking of you, my sweet Christina!

    Hugs 🤗

Well, I've started a study on the book of Job in the Old Testament. Maybe I shall have gleanings of more understanding of sufferings.
We can't know all. And something like 'God takes the best flowers early - for his garden' can sting, even if meant for comfort. Maybe true in some cases - but how, even before they are born?

      • Christina8

Well, I once wrote a personal poem about how they got to come right home (to heaven).....and the way you wrote it, "god takes the best flowers early-for his garden" sounds much better than, "it's for the best. Thanks Orchidee, your reply meant a lot!!

Thanks so much Fay. I know I will see them again someday. This being the anniversary month spurred the poem, but I don't know if I'll ever truly get over it. Thanks for the needed hugs!!

Thanks so much Brian. I have dreamt of my mother (passed) holding them in white. I know I will see them again someday. In "Glory" as you call it. Thanks so much for your kind words. Yours--Christina

Christina I understand how you feel, my wife lost twins many, many years ago.

                  • Christina8

But you never forget it. I've had people on their deathbed correct their children as to how many children they had, because they count the ones they've lost. Thanks for the kind comment.
