I don't know what God
has in store for me
Can hardly keep my head above water
Maybe he'll calm the sea
Sometimes even I don't
know where the pain comes from
And sometimes it can get so bad
that all that hurt goes numb
I have so much love
from friends and family
Without it I couldn't exist
I just couldn't "be"

I did some studying on Job (Old Testament). Went a bit over my head, as the notes were by a Professor! I felt I understood some more things though about suffering, etc.
But it's worse for you in the U.S. than us in the U.K. though that don't cheer you up, me saying that! You may not have an annual wintry 'depression' but many say by now - hurry up Spring!
Hurry up Spring, indeed! Still snowing on and off here. Thanks so much for your understanding and sticking with me through these times!! Hopefully soon I'll have some spring poems.
And - I DO rant a bit at God at times, even with my 'nice' hymn-poems, where at times I could just be giving mental assent to 'God is good'.
Some will chirp: 'God is good always; god is good always' (parrots!), yet He is.
I suppose we ought not to be literal fair-weather Christians, but we may moan and say 'Ugh, cold again!'
Right! Thanks again for your understanding.
family and friends mean so much pain can make you numb, I hope you fell better soon. ww
Thanks ww, I appreciate the well wishes. Spring can't come soon enough! So tired of the snow. Thanks again, ww!
That love from them is a reflection of what's inside you. The reason you can write so beautiful.
I'm as South in the uk as I could get (5 minutes from the sea) and if snowed! Not on 😉
Thanks so much for that beautiful reply. It made my day!! Thanks again!!
You well deserve your support - keep penning great writes Christina
Thank you Michael! Thought by now, folks would be sick of my "blah" poetry. But it will be spring soon enough! Can't wait to feel better! Thanks for your continued support!

Thanks for sharing & baring ~ your heart ! We do try and understand CHRIS ~ but you have has so many NEGATIVES in the past ~ It must be hard to sweep them under the proverbial carpet ! You have lots of support on MPS and we all "LOVE" for who you are and what you are ! I think MEN ~ genetically are much better at "Forgetting the things which are behind and stoically ~ pressing on" That is the advice of The Apostle Paul in his letter to the Philippians ~ but then He was a Man ! Thinking of you and Praying for you 24/7 ~ Hugs of Understanding ~ BROTHER BRIAN @@@@@@@
LOL---great acrostic!! I'm lucky to have friends like you and I appreciate all your support! Especially through my "blah" winter months, but spring is coming to my rescue soon! It's hard to press on, but press on I will! Thanks for your understanding---Sister Christina
Your warm grateful heart comes through these few lines - may you beat the depression soon and feel really up and going again dear Christina.
Thanks for your well wishes Fay! I know Spring is on the horizon and this blasted depression can be on it's way! Thanks for your continued support. It is appreciated!
Depression is hard enough, but add a long cold Winter and its just unrelenting. Many people get on edge when nearing Winter's end. We're all so sick of the storms and snow its just too much. But stay the course Christina, Spring is right around the corner. If you like, start your Spring poetry early. Hope you feel better real soon.
Thank you so much, AP! I appreciate your understanding and support more than you know!!

None of us know what God has in store for us but we will find out in time. As well as friends and family helping you God will be there for you.
Spring is close upon us. We have daffodils in our garden Christina and one of them I will give to you within my prayers.
Thank you so much for always being there! I appreciate you adding me to your prayers. God bless you!
