Gibberish?

Goldfinch60

“What do you mean?”

“What do you mean? “What do I mean?””

“I asked first!”

“But what was the question?”

“Yes that’s right, What? Was the question!”

“But that is meaningless, there is no subject!”

“Why would you want a subject?”

“Now your asking why! Why?”

“What do you mean, Why?”

“It is what you asked”

“Why do you ask “What do you mean?”?”

“What do you mean, “Why do you ask “What do you mean?”?”?”

“Yes, what do you mean?”

“Now we are back where we started! Why!”

Great fun write - trouble is it's not so uncommon - certainly in our family.

Oh lol, good write Gold. Oh, I worry about whether '?' or '!' should be included in inverted commas (or speech marks) or not. It keeps me awake at night ya know, these sort of things. Then I start thinking a lot - a slippery slope, to be sure!
I mean - we don't actually SAY a question mark, or exclamation mark, do we? heehee.
I miss out some punctuation on purpose in my poems. I add it where things may otherwise be unclear.
