OUTSIDE THE BOX

Michael Edwards

OUTSIDE THE BOX

He can never think outside the box

and this is quite a paradox.

I'll explain – it won’t take a minute:

he can’t even think whenever he’s in it.

Thanks yr - I don't think he can think at all. Lol Or at least I don't think he can 🙂 🙂

A fine write and pic M. Now we must know things such as: How big is the box? What is it made of? How long will he be outside the box? How long will he be in it?! And so on - most important questions. lol.

It's made of Buxus sempervirens - it's trimmed quite low - he could just step out of it but he can't think inside the box.

a box is very trapping , no wander he cannot think straight ! lol.. he needs to find a circle to jump into lol

I have moments like that, but the problem is if I think outside the box I can never find the box that I left and if I climb in others boxes they don't like it.

        Like the abstract.

I think we all do Andy - and it's not pleasant when just your ears get boxed - cheers .

Little boxes, little boxes and they're all made out of ticky tacky........ remember this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUoXtddNPAM

And they all look the same - sad to say I do remember it - but what the heck - I'll listen to it again - thanks for the link.

I find a dog in the picture and wisdom in the words. ww

Thanks Willy - I'll look for the dog.

              Michael,
This is a very interesting and intriguing write! It reminds me of what I see at the rehab center. Drug addicts take drugs to counterbalance the drugs they’re addicted to! As SL stated, it’s a trap!
              Great painting, my friend!

It is actually deeper than it appears on first read - not so much a trap as the inability of many who either refuse or fail to understand the simple logic of the here and now.

I couldn't make up my mind whether to publish it as: 'He can't even think....' or as 'He won't even think....'
I am still unsure although I'm beginning to favour the latter.

                Thanks for commenting Laura

It’s a hard choice! However, I find the latter happening more often than...“He can’t even think...”

Thanks MICHAEL ~ for again breaking the boundaries of your BOX in both the Abstract and the Anthem (intriguing concept !). I love reptiles and the abstract clearly shows an alligator swimming to freedom outside its BOX (pool) in Tampa Zoo ! We are all trapped in boxes of our own making ~ some of ignorance as STEPHEN illustrated in his BOOK ~ A Short History of Time ~ Thanks for your comment ~ Yours BRIAN
