Awaiting Spring

Christina8

For once no forecast

of snow to be seen

Just enjoy the sunshine

I will be quite keen

Getting closer to Spring

today but not too warm

But the birds are out

singing in true form

Can't wait to see a flower

and hold and smell it too

It'll remind me of a happy time

when given lilacs by you

The snow is almost melted

A pest unwanted and hated

Revealing the green earth

As the white background faded

Arrgghh a horrid snowy weekend just gone for us in the UK. Gradual thaw now, but beastly wind at the moment. A find write Christina.

                  • Christina8

                    Christina,

I think you write for many here, in that we are so looking forward to warmer climates.
The only comment I will make is that, however cold it is, Winter has its 'beauty' like all seasons.
" A pest unwanted and hated" a shame you feel this strongly

Well, I only feel that strongly at the end of the season as it brings on depression. It is beautiful in the beginning and at times. Thanks for the read and comments. Appreciated!

                        Hi Christina,

Yes and that is a valid reason for how seasons can bring about how we can feel, no doubt. Depression is a 'pest' and I can certainly relate to that. It is very tough and exhausting, which leaves us no alternative to look at 'triggers' and do as much as we can to 'manage' ourselves. The weather and seasons -we have no control over.. I know from experience, and future that is my only hopes of beating that blasted 'pest'
                        Much warmth
                        Michael ๐Ÿ™‚
