A COLLECTION OF COUPLETS (2)
The lashing rain played harmony
with the tunes of the gusting wind.
With thoughts of convenient construction
she condoned his lamentable wrongs.
They walked in the valley of streams
and they slept in the valley of dreams
The gathering tears from heavens eyes
reflect the grey of winter skies
No varnish in his spoken word
he never sugars pills.

There are some deep thoughts there Michael, especially number 2.
Great artwork, I could look at that one for a very long time.
Thanks Andy - deep yes - especially in the streams 🙂
Fine writes Michael. They walking in the valley of streams now? They were on that narrow way. Oh that was the other day. Cos I recalled I would swoon if they fell by the wayside!
They didn't stay there for long Orchi, they got wet feet.
Coulets? Bit of French there?!
Oops - Ill correct it.
Lovely image of a valley of streams and dreams Michael....... and the second stanza catches so much - don't we all do that sometimes!
I guess we do - it's called love. Thanks Lorna

Super couplets spilling their truths and what an exciting picture to illustrate them - - - love this posting to bits dear Michael.
Bless you Fay - that's real praise indeed.
These are some great couplets, Michael! And I adore the abstract. Love how the colors pop!
Thanks Christina - I do love couplets - in fact all short works so long as they have a bit of punch or intrigue.
