The Sun rises in my life,
The day beckons to me,
Showing me the way towards the light,
That light will always be with me.
Even in my darkest moments
The light will guide me towards brightness,
The brightness that is my life.
This glorious earthly life will end,
But Death has no sting,
As My Spirit will continue in life and light.
That life has come from the infinite past,
And will go on for, and to, eternity.

A fine and comforting write and pic Gold.
From the hymn 'Abide with me' -
'Where is death's sting? Where, grave, thy victory?, I triumph still if Thou abide with me'.
Thank you Orchi, indeed "Where is death's sting?".
I may put up an older poem of mine about Deaths Sting that I put on FP some years ago.
It's a suitable description, as a bee or wasp sting is nasty, and is..... well, a sting!
Life is indeed good and I'm here for another day - super write Andy.
It surely is Michael, each day we rise is a great day. Thank you.
An excellent write Andy. Death has no sting. Only a transition to the other side.
Thank you for your kind comment AP. See you on the other side - but not yet eh?
No, not for at least another 20 years or so. ; )
Such an uplifting feel to this verse and the picture lights up the wonderful message to life's onward journey so well Goldi - a comforting read.
Thank you Fay, every day is a good day.
This is a great write Andy! It's simply a transition.
Thank you Christina, yes that is very true.
Thanks ANDY !
O Death where is thy sting
O Grave they Victory
I triumph still
When CHRIST abides with Me !
