FLAKES FALL
As snow flakes fall
Reflecting moon-lit silvery glow
As snow flakes fall
In cold response to winters call
From night times skies descending slow
A covering of winter snow
As snow flakes fall.
The Rondelet is a French form consisting of a single septet
with two rhymes and one refrain: AbAabbA. The capital
letters are the refrains, or repeats. The refrain is written in
4 syllables (tetra-syllabic) or 4 syllables with two feet (dimeter)
and the other lines are twice as long – 8 syllables.

May they only be seen where they should be, in photographs or on cards.
Good write Michael.
A time and place for everything - thanks Andy
I agree with you and Gold M. We saw literally a few flakes in Jan and Feb.
I wish we could say 'What is snow?' cos of it being conspicuous by its absence.
If you want to see flakes go and see Dan Druff.
A fine write there M. I tend to stay with 'simpler' stuff, with me syllables and metres!
I'm a simple sole really and I can't even sing.
Just right Michael and your beautiful blue sky (what I see?) defies the snow.........
It was the nearest I could find - blue representing the cold. thanks Lorna.
Michael,
A masterpiece by the
Master! Out of this world...
actually up in the sky...
I love the cool blue
celestial colors of your
painting! Magnifico Maestro!
The Rondelet...magnifique!!
~Laura~
Thanks for your encouragement Laura - think I'll post something light hearted tomorrow - Sundays tend to be a bit 'heavy' here on MPS. Must hurry though as the clocks go forward by an hour at midnight here in the UK.
Happy dreams!😴
You seen Mr Druff lately?!
I've been combing the town and can't find him anywhere.
As snow flakes fall
Children bawl
Mother hit the wall
Old Folk fall
Teenagers have a BALL
As snow flakes fall !
Love the snowy abstract
and the Poetic Form
and the POEM
Thanks for sharing ~ BRIAN
Cheers Brian - let's hope it's all behind us till next winter.
