ALONE
Weeping at the dance
in leprous isolation
unaccompanied.
A senryu. Plus, for a change, I thought I'd post a few photos
of plants in the garden which I took yesterday
- the first one today is a hellebore - one of my favourites.

Super senryu
Connecting us with nature
With your hellebore
Thanks Andy - I've got a bed of these with some great colours - will be posting flowers from the garden over the next few days.
Is that the stinking variety?! A fine write and pic M.
Thankfully not - cheers Orchi
Perfect poem and of course your artist's eye caught the flower just like a painting!
Thanks Lorna - It's interesting that a good photo doesn't often make a good painting unless it has been taken by an artist. Photographers and artists don't look for the same things in composition etc.
Well you can do everything!
Lorna,
I totally agree with your perfect comments about our artist in residence! Kudos!
~Laura~
Yes and I wish Michael could give me advice as to which tree I should plant to replace the pine that would be most aesthetically pleasing! Do you garden too Michael?
I love the garden - up until a couple of years ago I used to open my garden to raise funds for local charities - we had about 440 visitors over a weekend and it got too much. Mine is a typical English village wall enclosed garden and, of course I have the added attraction of the studio which I also open - next opening is in May.
Thanks for sharing MIKE ~ Perfect Poem 'n Pic
Very sad situation for the LADY ! If I'm at a Dance
were there are WALLFLOWERS ~ I always invite
then to Dance and then often another Man will !
I adore HELLEBORE
SENRYU ~ I like too !
One of the first things I teach my Pensioner's
Poetry Class is the essential difference between
A HAIKU and a SENRYU ! Yours is a SENRYU !
Please check my BOAT RACE ~ Thanks BRIAN
