The cold that refuses to leave
Means more than refusing to leave
It's about crying for the dying
It's about the hearts it's missing
It's not saying it won't try
To bring back warmth and Summer joy
But for today it begs a rest
From merriness

VERY TRUE LORNA ~ The weather does affect our moods and COLD WEATHER BLUES is Universal ~ Lots of my older friends in the USA move to the MICKEY MOUSE STATE (Florida) in the Winter to escape the extreme weather in North USA ~ some have stayed permenantly in FLORIDA ~ The Sunshine State ! We had snow this year in SE England but it came and we saw ~ but it didn't conquer ! Summer Hugs ~ BRIAN ~ Please check our ENGAGEMENT POEM ~ Thanks B !
Warm is round the corner - can't wait - well said Lorna.
I feel the temps rising slightly in the last few days. Today was in the mid 50s and tomorrow and Friday are said to be slightly warmer still. Sending warm hugs Lorna. Great write.
The warmth that is missing outside Lorna is certainly there in your heart.
