As Our Lord went towards Crucifixion
Would you have been there,
Hands clasped together
Praying for His life?
Praying for forgiveness
For the wrong done to Him?
Or would you have been
The one with the hammer and nails,
Ready to Crucify Him,
For His innocence?
This innocence
He would take with Him,
Together with all our sins,
To His Father.

A fine write Gold.
As in hymns, was it: 'it was our sins that held Him there?' Well, partly I think, but His love caused Him to stay there for us.
We would have had it (no hope) if He had come down from the cross, as some taunted Him to do.
Thank you Orchi.
But he didn't come down but was with us on the third day.
Another well crafted write in the 'series'.
Thank you Michael, one more to come tomorrow then a bit of fun on Saturday.
Yes, a necessarily 'heavy' time, then the mood changes on the Sunday/Sabbath (which is Saturday really, I know!).
We are 'journeying', somehow continuing with Jesus in His trials, as He said. This series helps me - renews and reminds me.
You washing any feet tonight? Some places have such a service.
Yes we have feet washing tonight, introduced by our new Minister for the first time last year, it is not very popular from what I have been hearing over the passed week. We will not be going tonight although it will be the first one I have missed for nearly twenty years.
Do they need to eat humble pie then? Or some of them? Re the foot washing!
Excellent write Andy.
Thank you AP. much appreciated.
THANKS ANDY FOR CARING & SHARING ! At Spring Harvest one year ~ we had a washing of HANDS ~ less embarrassing than FEET WASHING ! Love all your STATIONS and Poems very uplifting in Holy Week ! Yours BRIAN
Thank you Brian, one more to come - the hardest of them all to accept.
Andy,
My sincere thanks and appreciation for your writes this week! It is making me remember my dad! He was an active participant of the services during Holy Week! They were very special and meaningful to him!
~Laura~
Thank you Laura, it is a very special time in the Christian Calendar, I am glad it brought fond memories of your Dad.
