MARTIN LUTHER KING ~ 1929 - 1968 Gone but never Forgotten

BRIAN & ANGELA

MARTIN LUTHER KING ~ A Civil Rights Leader

A Man of Peace ~ who led Peaceful Demonstrations

RECOGNISED and Respected throughout AMERICA ~ and

THROUGHOUT the World ~ for his message of LIBERATION

I have visited LORRAINE HOTEL where he was assassinated

NEXT to the MLK Memorial Center in Memphis Tennesee !

LESSONS of Civil Liberty & Rights ~ after 4 April 1968 ~ were

UNDERSTOOD better after MLK paid for it in his own BLOOD

THE President Lyndon Johnson carried the Legislation through !

HIS "I Have a Dream" speech (1963) was a powerful

EXPRESSION of his vision of "A Better Day in the Future"

REAL Progress has been made ~ but what JOHNSON and .....

KING accomplished was just the BEGINNING ~ not the END

I HAVE A DREAM ~ Is a Vision ~ yet to be Fulfilled !

NOT even a Black President BARAK OBAMA (2008 - 16) could

GUARANTEE Real Equality for AFRO-AMERICANS ~ AMEN

Thanks for visiting ~ comments welcome ~ Love BRIAN XOX

A great man whose message is still needed even now.

Thanks ANDY ~ The full extent of MLK's Dream is yet to be realised. Segregation has ended but there is still a lot of covert animosity from White Americans towards Hispanics ~ Afro-Americans and Native Americans ext. Thanks BRIAN !

            Mio Caro Amico BRIAN,
Beautiful poem about a great man! As Andy stated, MLK’s “message is still needed even now” ... and I dare say...ESPECIALLY NOW! We’re so divisive... too far right...too far left! It’s a mess! I hope things will get better in this USA!
            Un Abbraccio e Baci...

A wonderful tribute! I cried as I read "I have a dream" to my daughter. He was truly one of the great ones! Thanks for sharing! Sister Christina

Fine tribute to a great man - he set the pattern for much future change toward better attitudes.
