Walking through the woods,
At one with the Glory of Nature.
The trees standing so proud,
Their leaves rustling in the breeze.
The sounds of nature playing,
In symphonic harmony,
To my mind and heart.
I see the flowers and realise
That every flower is a soul,
A soul blossoming in nature.
Those souls will be with me,
Be with me forever.

A fine write and clip Gold. Why must I ruin every song, by singing it?! heehee.
Thanks Orchi.
Lovely write and I'm jealous - our local woodland walks are still so waterlogged and muddy I've not ventured for a while.
Thanks Michael - neither have I, the imagination is a wonderful tool.
Lovely poem Andy.... the song took me right back to days of Vietnam............
Thank you Lorna.
That song is still relevant.
did I recognize peter, paul, and mary.
this song is one of my favorites. it makes me feel at peace with myself.
and with all those souls you'll never be lonely. wonderful GF
The group was in fact The Kingston Trio although Peter, Paul and Mary did record it as well. (As did many others - notably Pete Seeger and Joan Baez) - I have all those recordings in my collection.
I was not sure who was singing it.
but it sounded good. I do feel at peace
with myself when I hear it.
Thanks ANDY ~ great group and one of my fave FOLK SONGS ~ Love the visuals ! Thanks for your elegant Poem ! I love Flowers and can't imagine a World without Flowers or a World without Love ! Yours BRIAN
Thank you Brian - very true a world without love or flowers is unimaginable.
