MY PERFECT LOVE ~ A LINE DANCING POEM !

BRIAN & ANGELA

WERE I to find my Perfect Love

And invite her to lie with me

And seek an unction from above

Would she not then imperfect be ?

A Perfect Love ~ like  Hand in Glove

Our Perfect Love for all to see !

For I have searched to whole World through

Were I to find my Perfect love

I ask you ~ what more could I do ?

And seek an unction from above

To thank my GOD for such as YOU

A Perfect Love ~ like Hand in Glove !

There's someone here for everyone

For I have searched the whole World through

I'm asking Lord ~ Where has she gone

I ask you ~ what more could I do ?

To make My Love ~ My only one

To thank my GOD for such as YOU !

This Poem is dedicated to ANGELA ~ My Perfect Love

Thanks for reading ~ comments welcome ~ BRIAN XOX

This poem is presented as a LINE DANCE POEM in

three SEXTETS !  Three lines (1 3 5) dance in sequence

to become lines (2 4 6) in the next Stanza (verse) in

which New Lines (1 3 5) are added. These new lines

dance to become (2 4 6) in the next Stanza ! There is

a basic alternate Rhyme Pattern in each Stanza ~

ababab  etc ~ Hope this is clear !  Repetition is very

important in Classical Poetry especially in Love Poetry

to emphasise the message ~ Love to All ~ BRIAN

as a non-line-dancer I will have to read the instructions again but nonetheless a fine write Brian.

I\'ve not got the hang of this. I danced on a line, but fell off. It was a washing line! doh!

Thanks MICHAEL ~ Because the lines (1 3 5) danced to lines (2 4 6) in the next verse ~ I saw them Dancing in Line as in Disney's Fantasia where everything danced ! So I called it a LINE DANCING POEM. This "line movement" happens in Villanelles and other Classic Forms and gives the Poem great Vitality ! Yours BRIAN

Thanks STEVE ~ I am the Lord of the Dance and Angela won medals for LATIN Ballroom in her Youth ! I wrote this in a low key ~ especially for Seniors with a low swoon threshold ~ Your NEPHEW ~ BRIAN !

THANKS CHRIS ~ REPETITION is important in poetry ~ especially LOVE POETRY and I always share the Love Poems with ANGELA before I post them ! This form is called LINE MARCH but I call it LINE DANCE because three of the lines in the SEXTET do dance forward (1 3 5) becoming (2 4 6) in the next Stanza ! Hugs in the SPIRIT ~ Angela & Brian @@@@@@@

THANKS ANDY ~ I like to post Classical poems with Form & Repetition ~ Pleased you liked it ! The phrase "Where has she gone" in verse three is because in MAY ~ Angela is going on an exchange placement to New Zealand with her Flatmate Ruth ! As you know (apart from the Moon !) NZ is about as far away as you can get from Essex ! C'est la Vie ~ Yours BRIAN
