Truth demands
Reality commands
Subjectivity sucks.
Grass growing
Cattle grazing
Cheese churning.
Two more of my own form - the Edelect:
3 lines with two words per line
First word in each line is a noun followed by a verb
Line 3 describes an outcome or conclusion of lines 1 & 2
Both words in line 3 start with the same letter
Rhyme pattern aab - okay so the second above is aaa - better still !!

Hah! Changing it up little by little. You're not wrong though. I don't know much about flowers. Hydrangeas are pretty cool. A shame they don't last long.
Yes bit by bit. We cut the hydrangeas when still in full colour and hang them up to dry out - they make superb dried flowers and last for months and months.
I didn't know that! That's awesome. I'll have to check this out.
Actually you can also wait until the petal colour fades and they take on lovely autumnal colours - works just as well if not better. The petals don't fall as strictly they are sepals and not petals.
This is revolutionary information sir.
Both are good but the second one gave me my first chuckle of the day.
Thanks Andy - best way to start a Sunday.
Fine ede-wotstis and pic Michael. A nice bit of bread and chunk of cheese to go with it?!
And home made chutney - cheers O
Not mustard though - bleeuurrgghhh. The smell of it is enough, let alone tasting it!
Mustard and cheese - err no - bit like kippers and custard.
That first one sure is the truth... you seem to know about horticulture, I could write all I know on that subject on the back of a stamp.
Yes it comes from my non religious beliefs I guess although I hadn't consciously thought of that when I wrote it. And yes I am a keen gardener. Thanks for looking in Davey.
I share your non-religious views, rationality rules.
A fellow realist - nice to know I'm not alone - rationality rules !

Love the WHITE DAFFODILS
Yours Brian ~ Please check my

HUMANISTS show the same TRAITS !
Yup you've got it and a good 'un at that ! I saw the concrete cow recently and they hadn't moved since the last time I saw them !!! Not sure if I'm a humanist - I'm just a simple guy who holds no beliefs but thanks so much Brian for your continued support - there's room for all of us on this planet (and on MPS) .
Michael,
Beautiful pic of the white daffodils! Two more fine edelects! I can just see that ācheese churning ā...in my tummy! Lol
I like this new form of yours.
Hereās my attempt...
Canvas blank
Painters prank
Japery justified
Children growing
Parents worrying
Society smiling
Constructive criticism welcomed!
~Laura~
Thanks Laura - so pleased you like the form. As for criticism the first one is great as written but the second does suggest the problems of growing children so perhaps smiling is the wrong verb. How about :
Society spooked or suspicious but both a bit of a mouthful and lacking meter so better still:
Neighbours nervous
Thank you Michael! I like āNeighbours nervousā... Iāll even include the āuā in neighbors! š
Aw thanks - look forward to seeing them in the gallery (or community as this site bizarrely calls it).
Iāll be posting them! Thanks again...Maestro!š
Thank you Michael.
I loved this poem
I love the flowers too.
Keep writing
FineB
Thanks FineB
well you nailed it
Cheers Ron
It's amazing how much these short lines conjure up - especially the last three - I was out in an open field on a beautiful farm........ your white daffodil is amazing.... we don't see them much here.
