Everything relates to time
Even before there were clocks
From the Earth to the Moon
Old and dusty rocks
Since the ignition
Of the Universe’s Big Bang
Clockless hands were ticking
And the voice of time has sang
Changes upon the planet
As continents rearrange
Life and death on Earth
Asteroids will exchange
The evolution of man
Down through the ages
Reading, writing and speaking
Recording history’s pages
Time a great teacher
As evidenced upon the wall
The writing clearly written
Read when debt comes to call
The ghost of time
Haunting future’s place
Recalling the past
Casting a new face
To fully appreciate
Time’s inherent value
An artist, poet, historian
Giving time its due

It's 'time' for me to say this is a good write again AP!
And its time for me to say thank you again orchi.
Good one, AP. Your timing is great.
Thanks WC, I just write 'em as they come to me.
Nice one - shame that at my age time isn't on my side anymore - it's mostly behind me.
Oh I know the sound of that tune Michael. Thanks for reading and your comment.
Time is always with us and will never end but I do wish it would make up its mind, it goes so fast when you are enjoying things and so slow when you are not.
Yes Andy, it does seem like that. Thanks for reading.
The usual advice is to "live in the present" but I can't see how the present can be separated from past and future. Anyway, love your thoughts here AP.
Thanks Lorna. And I agree that past, present and future are all connected.
