NEW ZEALAND ~ A Blank Verse DECACROSTIC

BRIAN & ANGELA

NEW ZEALAND ~ A two island Paradise

EVERYBODY  wants to visit sometime

WHEN & WHERE  to visit ? No problem

ZEN  says the Summer Jan & Feb & March !

EACH ISLAND  is different ~ The North MAORIS

AND Hot Springs ~ Bay of Islands & Auckland

LAND of the Long White Cloud ~ The South Mount Cook

AND Milford Sound ~ Christchurch & Dunedin !

NOBODY wants to leave ~ It's MAGICAL

DON'T delay book today ~ NOW IS THE HOUR !

Thanks for visiting ~ comments welcome ~ Love BRIAN XOX

A DECAROSTIC is a Ten Line Acrostic and each line

has Ten Syllables (iambic pentameter) and is in

Blank Verse !  It is a neat form to RECITE ~ BRIAN

If you've never been to New Zealand ~ put it on your

"Must to do list" !  The MOARIS are delightful  and

love to "rub noses" and teach you POI & The HAKA !

NOW IS THE HOUR is the traditional Song of Farewell

but it also speaks of return I cry every time I sing it !

Even more so in the future because My Beloved Angela

is going to New Zealand on a Year Exchange in May

and it is as far from the UK that you can get !

  • Fay Slimm.

Am already packing my bags after reading this colourful tribute to what must be a paradise - well we can dream eh ? - -- thanks Brian for describing both islands known as New Zealand.

    • BRIAN & ANGELA

Thanks ~FAY ~ it really is beautiful and unspoiled ~ Much of it reminded me of CORNWALL. I have relatives in Auckland ~ a very beautiful City. My Parents took me to Australia & NZ in February 2000 to celebrate the Millennium. Ruth\'s Uncle has a arranged the exchange for Angela and Ruth who is Angela\'s flatmate and a Radiographer. Thanks for your comment ~ Yours BRIAN. London to Auckland is 11,400 miles (by air) and expensive !

A fine decacrostic Brian. I was gonna say 'When ya going?' Oh, you are going. Well, Angela is, anyway. A year will seem like ages for you. - maybe.

      • BRIAN & ANGELA

Thanks STEVE ~ NZ is about a far a possible as on can get from LONDON ~ 11,400 miles ~ but I plan to visit in August & Christmas ! Cold Christmas Pudding and ice cream on the Beach on 25.12.18 ! NZ is an awesome experience anytime ~ land of the Hobbits ! Yours BRIAN

      • Michael Edwards

Better get my tickets and pack those cases - nice one Brian.

THANKS MIKE ~ It's never too late to visit NZ ~ They are very welcoming and they cater for all age groups ! You can arrange to stay in NZ Homes which gives a deeper insight as to how the other half live ! We enjoyed some "home stays" in South Island. Yours BRIAN

What gorgeous music! Maybe they are lucky to be so far from everyone - they might remain as they are that way.........

          • BRIAN & ANGELA

THANKS LORNA ~ YES the Maori Language and Melancholy singing is unique and always so so evocative ! Each time I reply to a comment I play the Music and cry for my memories of NZ and for the fact that ANGELA is going for a YEAR (Boo Hoo !) I give talks to Seniors on NZ and the Maoris and I play some Maori Music. At the end I play NOW IS THE HOUR and everyone joins in and cries ~ Very Emotional ! This is because All Brits have some contacts in & connections with NZ ~ AMEN ~ Pleased you enjoyed it Hugs from NZ ~ BRIAN !

Wonderful tribute to a awe inspiring place. I know you will miss your love but absence makes the heart grow fonder, right? Thanks for bringing a little bit of New Zealand to me! Hugs to you both!

            • BRIAN & ANGELA

Thanks SISTER CHRISTINA ~ I\'ve played the Song again and I\'m crying again ! Yes it is awe inspiring and I know ANGELA will love it it is her first visit ~ I just hope she doesn\'t fall too much in love with NZ and want to stay ! I\'ve bought her a return ticket ($2000) just in case ! The couple from NZ are arriving before Angela & Ruth leave to gen them up on life in NZ ! They will use Angela & Ruth\'s flat and they will stay in theirs in Auckland ! Yes (in my limited experience) Absence does make the heart grow fonder ~ it needs Prayer as well ! Angela is a SPIRITUAL GIRL (and RUTH) so all will be well. David can\'t go either (he will come with me in August) so A & R will be good company for each other ! Did you like the SONG ~ do you know it ? Muchos Abrazos Hermanos de ANGELA y BRIAN (Kiwis at Heart !) @@@@@@@

              • Christina8

Yes, it is a very nice song, but sad sounding. I've never heard it before. I did like it!

              • Goldfinch60

Maybe you will be able to join Angela for a few weeks while she is out in this wonderful land.

YES INDEED ANDY ! Travelling to NZ from the UK is easy but expensive and a long flight (14 hours !) I intend to go in AUGUST (which is their WINTER) and again @ CHRISTMAS / New Year ! I will be one of the first to see 2019 ! Friends of mine ~ who have Family in NZ are only able to visit once every 2 or 3 years ~ Yours BRIAN

                  Mio Caro Amico BRIAN,
I’ve only been to Auckland airport once...many years ago! A stopover to change airplane to continue on to Melbourne where my relatives live!
I enjoyed reading the decacrostic and listening to the wonderful music!
Abbracci e Baci per te ed Angela!
Un Buon Viaggio ad Angela e la sua amica!
                  ~Laura~
