EARTH is the ROCK which
Forms the foundation of all
Seven Continents
It's also Life giving SOIL
In which plants flourish & grow !
AIR a mixture
NITROGEN and OXYGEN
Also CO2
Nitrogen assists plant growth
Oxygen for animals !
FIRE purifies and
Destroys ~ Its a good Servant
But a bad Master !
The SUN is FIRE and it can
Start FIRE ~ It also gives Heat.
WATER is simple
H2O ! Essential for .......
Flora & Fauna !
Planet Earth ~ full of WATER
EARTH & AIR ~ FIRE & WATER !

We now have 120+ Elements but when life was
simpler we just had four ! These are what made
Planet Earth habitable and unique ! Earth (Rock
and Soil) Air (N2 O2 CO2) Fire (The Sun) and
Water (Vapour ~ Liquid ~ Solid) These Elements
all need Protection and Conservation for Life on
Earth to survive ! Be GREEN for your Grandchildren !

ELEMENTARY MR HOLMES ! Life was simpler 200 years ago 4 Elements 4 Seasons 4 GOSPELS (there are now 28 !) and 4 Corners of a Round Earth and 4 Suits (H C D & S) The rule of FOUR covered everything and 4 shillings a week kept you out of Debt ! Four seems enough when addressing the elements needed for gratitude to the gift of life on this planet Brian - - a good reminder that nothing would live without this mixture - - love the picture you chose too.

Primitive Man would see a Scene such as I posted and He would consider the FOREST and what caused it to grow.
