We took a trip to see some land
Thought that we might buy some
The price was right
Our purses small
And so we set off hopeful
But our hearts sank
As we drive through
A landscape flat and empty
The day was long I composed this song
As we were driving homeward
We'd rather be home than anywhere
But
We'd rather be anywhere
Than Delaware

Lorna,
Been there, done that,
and I too am glad to be
anywhere but Delaware!
The above words are not mine! They are from a friend who was born in Deleware and left as soon as she could!
A great and honest write!
Thank you for taking me to
Phil Collins...one of my favorites!

And she left "Home of Tax Free Shopping" - ha ha Laura.... I thought maybe it was just us........
There are some places from where you cannot get home quick enough.
That is funny. All they have going for them is the autumn leaves. No that is not nice. I like to see almost every place once, and I have never personally been there. Still, that is a good piece.
Keep writing.
Persistence is key
Don't know Delaware but I do recognise the sentiments - enjoyable write Lorna. And yes I'm back.
Hurrah you're back! Good time had by all? You can safely remove Delaware from your Bucket List.........
WHAT did DELAWARE Boys ?
