WORDS
Words whether written;
words whether spoken;
words whether sung,
are still words.
: :
In conversation
Colloquial expressions
Familiar language
Parlous sophistries
Scribed by vengeful pens
Divergence of truths
Serene seduction
Luring words in siren songs
Subdued in falseness

Words are so important in our lives, they can be so powerful both for good and evil. Good write Michael.
Our primary means of communication so often abused - cheers Andy.
You parleying there? A fine write and pic M.
Talking to myself Orchi. Do it all the time but I often don't understand.
Ahh soliloquising? Got headache now, thinking up that big word this time of day!
Try lying down Orchi - it fits inside the brain better that way.
Eliza Doolittle didn't think much of them............
Gor blimey didn' she? I luv 'em meself - cheers Lorna
THANKS MIKE ~ The pen has always (ad ultimatum) been mightier than the sword ! I love the ultimate definition of MODERN POETRY ~ and the are many examples on MPS !
MODERN POETRY ~ is just WORDS

Generally without RHYME and ~
often without REASON !

words come to me
that be free.
They cost nothing but can cost a lot
sometimes.
Michael,
An impressive write! I’m fascinated by words! As an English language learner, I’m always curious about words and their usage!
Beautiful red tulips! Great pic of them! They look very velvety!
~Laura~
I too love words and love to see them stretched and used in different ways - mind you that's different to using them incorrectly which really gets under my skin - perhaps I'm just a tad intolerant in my old age. yes those lovely tulips which I can just about see as I type this are looking a bit sorry for themselves - I expect the petals will be on the ground by tomorrow.
No, not intolerant! We’re just conscientious of a good thing and don’t want it lost!
Colloquial, eh? That any relation to ventriloquial?!
Nah mate - yore thinkin of colonsqweeel
A wonderful vivid and superb write Michael on Words and their power.
Keep writing
FineB
Thanks FB - will indeed.
words written or spoken will be with someone for eternity
Great message about the power and importance of words. I'm a little obsessed about wanting to use JUST the EXACT word for every occasion. It's SO frustrating when I can't remember a particular word when I need it.
And then you remember it when it's too late - yes you are not alone.
No offence because I know it's so frustrating, but I'm kinda glad I'm not the only one with that problem.
