SHE DANCED
Holding commune with her soul
her slender figure half in light
responded to her conscience call
in conduct and in principle.
And in the soft mysterious glow
which fell upon them silent all
with unaffected gracefulness
she bowed with icy deference.
Now thrown upon society
with new-found inborn confidence
and with her elegance beguiled
she danced just like a child.

A fine write Michael. I got me own 'problem'. I'm not one to dance really. Shall I go to a happy-clappy church (dancing available if wished!) or bit stiff-and-starchy one (don't anyone dare dance!).
So people make noises by hitting animal hide with sticks, they blow down tubes made out of metal and wood to make wailing noises, twang bits of string by hitting them or scrape across them with bows to make a load of screechy sounds, and bash metal plates together, and then other people stand up and sort of twitch and jiggle and contort themselves at the same time. What a pointless occupation - has the world gone mad?
Ohhh it's called a band, and dancing. Well, there's in-between places too - not too 'wild' neither 'stiff-and-starchy'. You got those tambourines and cymbals out?!
I can tinckle my triangle. Will that do?
Yes! heehee.
Beautiful write Michael.
Thanks Andy - not the best of photos but I guess it'll have to do.
To Dance like a CHILD
Is to dance from the HEART
Thanks for sharing MICHEAL ~ a delight
Love the silhouette Yours ~ BRIAN
Nothing sweeter than seeing a child dance - thanks Brian.
Your words create dance which induces confidence so clearly Michael - love the shady figure to illustrate this too. Super read.
Thanks Fay - it's a tad enigmatic but that helps make it methinks.
I think that's kind of graceful.
Ah thanks Paul.
She danced, and really lived.
She sure did - cheers AP.
Michael,
This exquisite write and line figures remind me of Cinderella at the ball dancing with the Prince!
I’m sure that’s not what you had in mind; but, as Hood told me once, there are as many interpretations as there are readers!
Loved the read and drawing! I’ve just framed it and hung it!

I feel so flattered Laura - only wish it was a better photo - thank you so much for your kind comments.
You’re very welcome!
