FOUR HORSEMEN ~ REVELATION Chapter 6 vs 1 - 8
I JOHN saw the four Horsemen
WHITE HORSE with its Conquering King
Long Bow and a Golden Crown of course
HE came to conquer Earth & Everything !
RED HORSE with its Warrior Mount
A Might Sword for to destroy Earth's Peace
His Flashing Sword ~ left nothing to account
Men killing Men ~ and Laws & Order cease !
BLACK HORSE its Rider rode to Judge
His Scales were balanced with uneven switch
NO WHEAT for the Starving POOR
WINE & VIRGIN OIL for all the RICH
PALE GREEN HORSE ~ with pallor of the DEAD
Famine & Pestilence from this Rider pour
His name is DEATH ~ with SKULL for HEAD
A Quarter of all folk were DEAD ~ their blood out-poured !

The PROPHECY by JOHN when he looked into the Future
is recorded in the Book of Revelation ~ which completes
the NEW TESTAMENT ! It makes uncomfortable reading
but when we predict conditions in the 22nd C (2100)
some of the forecasts parallel John's Vision ~ AMEN !
Read the Book of Revelation for yourself and you will
see how much of it parallels conditions on EARTH today !

Thanks ANDY ~ To me the BOOK of REVELATION is a fitting climax to the BIBLE ~ In the Beginning God ~ In Between God and In the End God ! People find it difficult but as an Evangelical and an Environmentalist I accept it by Faith and find it all makes sense ! I could still be alive in 2100 (117 !) so I have a vested interest what things might be like ~ for ME ~ and not just my future GRANDCHILDREN ! Studying the Book of Revelation in a Home Group Bible Study ~ I found a very exciting experience ~ AMEN Thanks for your comment ! My very first album was "The Shadows" it was the only one with the original line-up of Hank Marvin, Bruce Welch, Jet Harris and Tony Meehan, their second album "Out of the Shadows" had Brian Bennett as the drummer, I still have both LPs.
A fine and true write Brian. We have to unravel the symbolisms and visions, but unfortunately it's all relevant. Though 'fortune' or 'luck' does not come into it really.
Yeas indeed ANDY ~ Biblical Prophesies of the END TIMES do not make easy reading ! I could still be alive in 2100 (117 !) so I have a vested interest ! I am a BIBLICAL SCHOLAR (Open Learning) and also an Environmentalist (It is legal !) so I have some understanding of the Book of Revelation and its application to "Life on Planet earth in the 21st C" and future predictions ! As CHRISTIANS we have a more optimistic view of our future because we have assurance of Eternal Life in Heaven ~ AMEN ~ Yours BRIAN

Thanks MICHAEL ~ Pleased it met with you approval ! When I saw the picture I wrote the poem to complement it ! The choice of background music was more difficult ! I love the Shadows and there is a version of GRITS on their CD set. I preferred it without "words" and the video is excellent. There is a painting towards the end of Three Horses ~ White Red & Green which fits my Poem ~ you have to imagine the BLACK ONE ! In retrospect I am pleased ~ for me it is Holy Ground ~ and I give myself an "A" ~ Yours in appreciation BRIAN

John's vision assures us that God will arrange the troubled finalé of those who do not support global peace. The four horsemen typify power to correct faithless pride and their ride is described as very exciting. Thanks for sharing the Shadows with us too - a memorable number.of theirs.
