AS AN ARTIST SEES

Michael Edwards

AS AN ARTIST SEES

Braving the foaming seas

adrift in a boat with no oars

the colour of wind as it soars,

seen as an artist sees.

The artists eye can see so many colours that come to life on the canvas.

What colour is a tree trunk? All the colours of the rainbow if you look closely - not just brown as an untrained eye will perceive. Thanks Andy.

A fine write and pic Michael. You gone boating?!

      • Michael Edwards

I'm off in a pedal boat which should have been recycled years ago.

Have you sunk? Any holes in it?!

But I hope the boat with no oars finds its way back so you can paint what you saw!

Oh it will - it's got a motor lol 🙂 Thanks Lorna

That boat with no oars will find its way back! No doubt!
...and The Artist will color that wind which he saw soaring!

            Michael,
A great verse accompanied by a great pic! Super!

Thanks so much Laura - holding an Open Studio this weekend and going well but so tiring for an old fella - but at least it funds the hobby !!

Have one of your great gin & tonics and everything will be swell!

Turner comes to my minds eye.So much emotion in his moody seascapes. Colour of the wind indeed! I can almost feel it on my face.

Turner conveyed the winds with a wonderful use of pigments - thanks for your kind comments dusk.

                  The EYES of an ARTIST
                  The EARS of a COMPOSER
                  The NOSE of a PERFUMER
The VOICE of a Bel Canto SINGER
                  The MIND of a PROFESSOR
                  The DOUBLE-MIND of a POLITICIAN
The TOUCH of a LOVER !

You are an ARTIST Michael so see how you see
But promise to convey it to canvas then to MPS
So we can all enjoy it TOO ~ BRIAN

Thanks love the POEM & the PINK Fragaria

I think you're very blessed to be able to show your unique view into the world by word and paint. We are artists of words but you are an artist by both. So blessed. Love this. You are right about artists seeing the world more clearly. More detailed. I've noticed it before but you've expressed it in your unique way. Love it.
