A COUPLE MORE COUPLETS

Michael Edwards

The use we make of the present

determines the outcome of the future

Covered by threatening shadows

we walk in the custom of ghosts.

Good couplets Michael, especially the first one - when will they ever learn.

A fine couple of couplets, and pic M. Have we run out of 'c's now?!

    • Michael Edwards

All gone - it's a sad world with no 'c's'

Aww, and I wanted to say more. I will have to say: A fine xouple of xouplets xonveyed with xlarity and no xonfusion and...... now I've run out of 'x's, and the spell-checker's gone into overtime!

There's a surplus of 'b's' at this time of year - you bould use those instead. Mind you they are expensive and you bould get stung.

The couplets are lovely and the pretty little flower world is captivating Michael!

Thanks Lorna - this is a little ajuga - not the best of photos but I'm running out - must get in the garden with the camera.

Ajuga is a great standby! Simple and lovely just when we need it most! And the leaves afterwards are pretty too.........

The custom of ghosts - a haunting line indeed. Joking apart - very clever phrase.

Mankind's unrelenting obliviousness of the direct result of their actions. History repeats itself because humans never learn. A sad tragic truth of humanity. Pretty flowers. I've never seen those. I'm going to have to start saving your pics. I don't think we have those here.
