A Gesture Against Time.

Goldfinch60

Time is always with us.

In enjoying life, time flies.

In sad times, time drags.

When we look back

The times that we had

Were always good,

And as we look at them

We let them dwell with us,

As a gesture against time.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Time can stop when we think of things in our past. The tune is the original Dr Who theme song from 1963 - I was there, I saw the first episode and most of them since that day.

So right. I have found that writing pieces about my past 'highs' really does enable me to rejoin the emotion and joy of those times when i re-read them.
Time seems to be our master.

Thanks ANDY ~ Great tribute to one of the Worlds greatest SCI-FI series ! I was born 20 years after its launch but I have watched them all and still do ! I'm still scared of DARLEKS and the concept that future INVADERS (like V2's) may be ROBOTS ! For me TEMPUS always FUGIT and @ 35 I never have enough time ~ I would love to be retired and devote myself "full time" to Art ~ Music ~ Poetry ! Yours BRIAN I have corrected comment about SENRYU ~ OK
