OCTOPI ARE ALIENS
They came from Outer Space !
Eight arms & legs ~ humungous eyes
And a smile upon their alien face !
OCTOPI have three big hearts
While everything else has ONE
They can squirt ink ~ to make you blink
Six brains make then second to NONE !
They are "Masters of Disguise"
They disappear in a flash
They have Blue Blood (that's copper based)
And really cut a dash !
SO ~ If you'd like to have blue blood
And stand tall on Safari
Then order Chips & Octopus
Enjoy your CALAMARI !

Thanks STEVE ~ David Attenborough's programmes on the Oceans have been informative but scary ! FISH like BIRDS can move in 3 dimensions up & down & around ~ but it gets darker the deeper you go ! Love the descriptions you use or these slithery masters of Neptune's bed - -- must say they have not been my favourite keepers of the deepest deeps Brian but after this master-lesson on their abilities I shall certainly take my hat off to Octopus alien-brain-power. Great read and love the title.

Rather fond of calamari but can't see the point of eating spaghetti in octopus based blood sauce. Great verse Brian.

Octopi are really cool. And super smart too, I hear tons of stories about them. For all we know they have their own civilization down in the depths of the ocean!
THANKS AZURA ~ We recently had a TV Series "OCEAN" and we are just beginning to realise the "life style" of many of our Marine Creatures ! there are whole "Piscine Civilizations" under the Ocean living in perfect environment with no shortage of Water ~ Oxygen ~ Food etc ! Fish are older then the Human and could well outlast us when Life on Terra Firma" becomes impossible for H. Sapiens ! Yours BRIAN !

Sleek streamlined and scary
Too regal and too fabulous
To end up as CALAMARY !

end up tasting so good ~ Best in a
Creamy sauce with crusty Italian
