HAD I NOT KNOWN .................. !
AGONY ~ ECSTASY would be meaningless
HUNGER ~ SUFFICIENCY would be an enigma
HATRED ~ LOVE would be a mystery
BONDAGE ~ FREEDOM would seem abnormal
POVERTY ~ PLENTY would seem unattainable
SICKNESS ~ HEALTH would be elusive
UGLINESS ~ BEAUTY would have no comparison
LIBERATION ~ I would still be a SLAVE
GOD ~ I would still be an ATHEIST
ANGELA ~ I would still assume True Love a MYTH !

THANKS DAN ~ I essence we are "Masters of our own Destiny" ! Each time we fall down (or are knocked down) we pick ourselves up and are better able to cope next time ! WELL FAY ~ You know better than I do ~ and sometimes you express it eloquently in your Poetry ! Life is never all roses or all regrets most of the time it\'s a mixture ! The secret is contentment when its pouring and contentment when the Sun shines ! This acceptance of all situations ~ and learning from them is what makes us strong and able to face joy & sorrow equally ! ANGELA really wanted to go to New Zealand ~ to learn & practice Physiotherapy in different culture ~ the opportunity arose and she has gone ~ and a few years ago I wold have been able to go with her but my professional commitments are in the UK ~ so we are both content knowing ~ even though it will be difficult ~ it was the right decision and we are ENGAGED which is a big commitment ~ and the first time ~ for both of us ! There are many other illustrations in all our lives ~ but accepting the "status quo" and being Happy & Content with it is very satisfying ! Thanks for all your Poems & comments ~ Your Friend BRIAN
