TWO TWO LINERS>

Michael Edwards

You’re so relaxed this lazy morn I’d like to know how you survive

So tell me please, since you were born, if you have always been alive.

‘ There is no end to your skills’ said he grinning,

‘which is not surprising for there is no beginning’.

Two good ones Michael. I do like the second one better as that could apply to many of us.

Couldn't it just - keep smiling Andy.

      • Goldfinch60

I am always smiling - it confuses people.

Fine writes and pic Michael. No one is alive in soap operas. They're all made of wood - in their acting!

        • Michael Edwards

Do people in soap operas take baths or showers?

        • BRIAN & ANGELA

Thanks MIKE ~ loved both of them equally ~ very droll ! I am a soup king so I enjoyed the Barrington especially Minnie Stroney ~ my friend VERMA CELLI also enjoyed it ! Please check JIM REEVES ~ Ta B !

          • Michael Edwards

I heard that Verma was a devotee of all matters soup - cheers Brian.

            Michael,

            Awesome posting!

            Great fun liners!
            Love, love the cartoons!
            Very interesting names...
            Minnie Stroney...Verma Celli...

Thank you for sharing your talents!

            ~Laura~

P.S.-I’m glad you found Minnie Stronni.
Is that Cedric having a martini 🍸?

            • Michael Edwards

I love Minnie even if I don't always spell her name correctly. As for Verma Celli she was going out with Carbo Nara and Lin Guine was very jealous

yes that's Cedric, and following my example at lunch today out on the patio, he's having a G&T with a dash of Amaretto - heaven.

                Heavenly indeed!

                Very clever, Michael.

Cooeee! Yes, the second one reminds me of, said muchly at some churches: 'As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen!' Nope, not referring to the long sermons - hope not!

                • Michael Edwards

Not sure about what is said muchly - so nothing ever ends? - how it can it be now as it was in the beginning - sounds a contradiction to me - I don't understand - am I simple? Is it time for my medicine?

                  • orchidee

Erm, I suppose it means staying exactly the same. Some churches may in effect say: 'Yep, nothing ever changes here; as it was, so it ever will be; come back in 20, 50, or even 100 years and it will still be the same!'
