Going through life we see them,
They are all around us,
Tempting us.
They look so wonderful,
We must have them.
But why must we have them,
Must we have them because we want them,
Or must we have them because we need them.
You must always have the ability to choose,
To choose what we need,
Not what we want, but not need.
Need is necessary,
Want is greedy.

- Comment from author about the poem: A few days Lawless wrote about this subject and I sadi to him that I was writing one about the same subject but would not put it up as his was better, he challenged me to put it up so here it is. The music is one of the seminal Jazz tracks in jazz history. Bix Beiderbecke was 28 when he died, it is said he drank himself to death.

A fine write Gold. As I say, if it wasn't so serious: 'Should have added water to it' is what I keep telling people!' oohh.
Thanks Orchi. Adding water to it is horrendous as water is in short supply in some palces.
Great theme and great poem - more fine words from the pen of Andy.
