Calliope looks down upon me,
Her eyes searching my heart
For words to put on this page.
Every morning I see her
And feel her presence within me.
I sit before the page
And the words flow,
They turn towards love
The strongest of all emotions.
I think of the love of my life
And the years of passion
That have been with us,
So many years in love,
That love is so strong,
And gets stronger each day.
But each day I know
That I am losing her,
As her mind is being closed
Closed into her bubble,
Her bubble of dementia.
I can penetrate that bubble
And our love shines through,
But that bubble may soon close,
My love for her will stay strong,
But will she know.

In a similar vein, I'm not with a certain church at present, but why, when they had special prayer times for a person with the 'c' word, did the person later pass away? Really, we can only say 'Don't know why'.

Thanks ANDY ~ for a sad Poem today ~ but a sadness tinged with JOY we can all share as we share and care for our loved ones with limited communication and nearing Heaven's Door. They all know we love them and sometimes surprise us by what they say ! Memory extends beyond the GRAVE so our love will never die.
