filling sealing
flexing clicking
in the cooling
night time air.

A wonderful image of the boat being built. One of my friends used to build his own boats many years ago.
Thanks Andy - the sound of the clicking as the infill dries out still lives with me from childhood memories.

A nocturnal chandler.... i'm asking myself why does he work by night? Aha, his day job is accountancy.... have i lost the plot?
Single guy who works for himself and works round the clock - also it gets late early in the winter - I recall him from childhood visits to my Gran who lived on the coast.

Yes - best if lightly roasted to bring out the oils and flavour but not essential. great sprinkled on salads or in cheese dishes and certainly in curries. A key component of panch puren which my wife uses regularly. Don't be daft - you're never daft Laura - thanks for the comment.
This is such a wonderful description you could fool us into thinking it was you building the boat. Well as a craftsman you probably took it all in by osmosis.

Thank you Brian - what I didn't mention is the great smell which I so vividly recall - it would be great to visit another one of these small boat building sheds again,
I've always admired the craftsmanship that goes into each boat. This is a wonderfully descriptive piece. The flowers are beautiful and exotic looking. We don't have those here. I usually screenshot your work (and a few of the flowers) to read (and look at) whenever I want (they're saved in my pics) I've saved both of these! Another great post! I always make a point of checking your posts whenever I can get to MPS. Thank you for sharing your vision.
