Roses are so meaningful no matter what colour, I used to give a red roses corresponding to the number of years Joyce and I have been married but it was getting so that I would need to get out a new mortgage every year, so now it is a single red rose.
Thanks ANDY ~ Angela and I share ROSES each 1st of JULY to mark when we met at a Summer Ball at the Hospital ~ I give her a dozen Red and she gives me a dozen Pink ~ we didn't plan it it just happened. INTERFLORA have promised to contact their Auckland outlet to send them this Year ! My Parents have special Rose Bushes in their Garden to commemorate Silver & Ruby Wedding Anniversaries etc. My personal Rose is the RED ROSE of LANCASHIRE ~ best Cricket Team in the Universe ! Arrghhh I best not have any orange roses. I'm a wet blanket! 'Excitement'? Not had much for 1,000 years. Could I stand it?! heehee

Roses of any shade are favs with me as long as their perfume fills the room - - a lovely tribute to the most royal flower Brian.

Thanks FRIEND ~ We have a large Rose Nursery near our TOWN and I always give ROSE BUSHES as presents especially for NEW BABIES and significant Wedding Anniversaries ! I accept your point about CUTTING (KILLING) ROSES and in our CHURCH GARDEN (not a Cemetery) we plant a PEACE ROSE ~ with a plaque for those who have been Called Home to GLORY ~ this is an innovation and we now have three ~ over three years ~ all were 80+ ! THANKS JANE ~ Roses are awesome Blooms and beautiful at any stage ~ Bud ~ Opening ~ in Full Bloom & Fading ~ My MUM has lots in Her Garden and when I visit (I live in a FLAT) I like to "dead head" them and keep the foliage neat and cut out "suckers" ! Roses need a lot of TLC ~ Pleased you enjoyed it ~ Yours BRIAN The depth of colour in Roses is unique and the variegated ones ~ like PEACE are so so elegant !
