GIVE ME ~ A Thimble full of Quiet
GIVE ME ~ A Mind thats free from Care
A Loaf of Bread ~ A Glass of Wine my diet
I'll travel safe from here to anywhere !
GIVE ME ~ A trusty Staff to lean on
My Feet are shod with Gods own Peace
The knowledge of Crusades I've been on
From this Weary World ~ to find release !
GIVE ME my Coloured Cloak of GLORY
As towards Heaven I daily tread
No looking back ~ NO ~ That was Lots Wifes Story
SHE turned to Sodium Chloride and was DEAD !
GIVE ME a promise of SALVATION
That when I reach my goal ~ I will see GOD
YES ! Thats my Hope & Expectation
The reason why I tread this weary sod !
And when I've gone ~ Please say this of ME
He entertained with Poetry & Prose
When my penmanship ~ you no longer see
Remember all my ODES to ENGLANDS red red ROSE !

Very good write Brian, but surely it is going to be many years before we stop seeing them, after all you are only half my age and I am still writing.

Coolness is always good, losing one's temper gets us nowhere.

St Alban's Day is soon (22 June). One hymn says: 'Holy Alban, England's rose'.
They have a procession, and roses at his shrine at the Cathedral bearing His name. I got to it some years.

Sodium Chloride Na+Cl- is of course table salt which we use to both preserve and flavour our FOOD ~ The Bible Says "Lots Wife was petrified and became a 'Pillar of Salt" like the people at Herculaneum ~ Had she kept going with Lot she wold have outrun the Lava and not ended up as a Salted Crisp ~ so it was not really NaCl after all it was Lava ! There is a warning here ~ The BIBLE says if we are tempted to Dabble in the Sins of the World ~ Remember lot's Wife ~ AMEN ~ BRIAN
