Holding My Breath

Christina8

Sometimes I can't find the rhyme

Feels like I'm running out of time

Trying to find the source of my anxiety

Wondering what in the hell is wrong with me

Feeling like I'm drowning alone in a lake

No one to help me but me for my sake

I used to write of love and though true

It's hard to do when you're down and blue

I'm scared to death, I don't know why

Just holding my breath, I can't even cry

Scarier than any horror flick you've seen

That is what panic disorder for me has been

I have similar, though lesser, experiences of this. Maybe if we can pinpoint just what it is that is causing us to be anxious. It may not the be immediate thing. It may be something future, or even past.
Meanwhile - Ohh I tried holding my breath 24 hours one day. Erm, I did not feel very well for it! Heehee.

Good Morning ~ Sister Christine thanks for a very poignant poem and sharing some of your anxieties with your MPS Friends. My advice has always been Spiritual ~ Pray ~ Count Your Blessings and I am praying for you 24/7. I am pleased you can trust us Chris and feel free to share your anxieties ~ Read Psalm 23 ~ I am sure it will help @ this time and ask your Church group to pray for you. We have a Prayer Chain in our Church and it really does work. Always remember that "Underneath You and Round About You ~ are the Precious Arms of JESUS ~ AMEN !" Thank you Brian. Although those things help they do not cure. I really do find your replies helpful and I appreciate the time you put into them! Thanks so much! Spiritual hugs back to you and Angela

THANKS CHRIS ~ I understand what you are saying and speaking as a NURSE ! We all have minor ailments which we take medication for ~ such as arthritis ~ the medication eases the pian ~ BUT ~ it doesn\'t cure. Prayer and the study of God\'s Word works like that for people with anxiety and depression it calms the mind and soul and make life bearable ~ but generally does not heal and the symptoms come back again. There is of course SPIRITUAL HEALING and RELEASE MINISTRY which DOES HEAL ~ but that is much bigger and specialist SUBJECT as you know. In the UK they are legalising CANNABIS OIL for epilepsy etc ~ It is legal in CANADA. Take care ~ i hope my comments comp;ement yours ~ HUGS BRIAN & ANGELA @@@@@@@
