Trusting Times

Tune: Old Yeavering

('Like a mighty river flowing')

*******

Psalm 143 v.8

Cause me, Lord, your lovingkindness

To hear each morning, do me bless

For in you I trust, do cause me

To know what my way should be

Psalm 143 v.10

Teach me, O Lord, to do your will

Abiding in you, you in me still

You my God are, your spirit good

In your right way no falsehood

Psalm 144 v.2

He my goodness and my fortress

My high tower He,  I confess

My deliverer and shield sure

Who I shall trust evermore

Psalm 145 v.3

Great the Lord, greatly to be praised

And that songs to Him be e'er raised

His greatness is unsearchable

It cannot be found out all

Psalm 145 v.15

The eyes of all upon Him wait

He will help them, shall not be late

For you give food in due season

Provide enough for each one

Cooooeee M. Your trusting times being tested? i.e .trusting I won't sing? I'm sure too, I bet, like a bird chirps (or two cats fight) at dawn chorus! heehee.

Thanks STEVE ~ My DAD (65) loves these Golden Oldies you post and especially the Medieval Settings with stained glass windows and fixed pews ! Our original Church was built in 1885 but when it was replaced in 1985 it was Open Plan with a State of the Art Kitchen (Church of the Good Food ~ My Brother called it !) and stackable chairs so we could play badminton (it has a high roof) in the sanctuary. It is also a PLAY AREA for Mums & Tots (50 of each !) on a Tuesday We also host a Ping Pong Club and a coffee morning ~ every Thursday etc etc !
Love you paraphraand parapses on Individual Verses in the Psalms ~ There are over 2500 each one a gem ~ and a lifetimes work to paraphrase each one ~ Thanks STEVE you Bless us each day ~ more than you realise ! NEW FUSION re: What Luxury would you take to a Desert island ? Please contribute ~ perhaps a Nubile Singing Teacher ? Your BRIAN

*Splutters* What? Badminton in the sanctuary? Sacrilege?! Only if we're stuff-shirts. Why, I saw dogs in church the other day - and why not?! Not the 'dogs' that St Paul hates!
