Pure Bliss.

Goldfinch60

Pure bliss,

Sitting in the coolest part of the house

Away from the increasingly hot summer,

Coffee by my side,

Loved one beside me,

Bach playing gently,

Wafting his wondrous tones

Into our souls.

Sitting there reading,

Reading a good book,

Pure bliss.

Good coffee.

Good woman.

Good music.

Good book.

Pure bliss.

A fine write Gold. Then I spoilt all the bliss by turning up and singing. I'm a spoilsport. lol.

You always have been - remember 1066.

Oh yes bliss indeed and must read the book - and Columbian coffee at that - oh dear that starts me off on my favourite rant - why can't I get proper coffee anywhere except in a few 'proper' coffee houses. Nero, Costas etc - they haven't a clue about coffee varieties and origin and only serve blended coffee and haven't a clue about how to prepare it properly anyway - not a percolator in sight.

We still have the percolator that we had as a wedding present nearly thirty seven years ago. Saying that though I use a filter coffee maker and I grind the beans immediately before use them. we have two types of coffee in the house, Colombian is the 'go to' normal coffee and I have some Brazilian Santos for the evenings.
We go to a coffee house called Coffee #1 and there normal is Arabica coffee which is very good and they have a guest coffee for a month or so that you can chose, at present it is Honduras coffee, that too is very good.
The nearest Coffee #1 to you is in Daventry, 23 miles away

Thanks ANDY for opening your Heart & Hearth to us all ! We were taught -(GCSE MUSIC) that a FUGUE is a musical composition using two or more voices in a CONTRAPUNTAL style. It is based on a "theme" that is introduced at the commencement ! It makes for very pleasant listening as in the example you have chosen for us ! Bach is a Maestro of the Fugue.
In satisfied mode with Music ~ Coffee ~ Lady & Book ~ ANDY saw that everything was Very Good ~ and the Evening & the Morning were the SIXTH DAY ~ and on the SEVENTH DAY ~ HE RESTED !
COFFEE ~ We still have a DELI that sells "ground to order" Roasted Jamaica Blue Mountain ~ best coffee in the UNIVERSE !
Thanks for sharing ~ you postings are a delight and always LIFT ME UP ~ Your Friend & Brother ~ Love to Joyce ~ BRIAN

          • Goldfinch60

I have had Jamaica Blue Mountain, yes it is good but not at the price it comes in at.
