Tune: Bunessan
('Morning has broken')
Psalm 132 v.13-18
*********
For the LORD, mount Zion chosen has He
Desired it His habitation be
This is His rest, it be for ever here
He has desired it, here will dwell clear
He her provision will bless abundant
Satisfies her poor, bread to them sent
And will her priests with true salvation clothe
A glorious dress, a righteous robe
He will give to them, and them beautify
They be covered, spirits to Him fly
And her saints aloud for joy they shall shout
From holy city praises ring out
There He will make horn* of David bud sure
Strength, salvation, luculent** e'ermore
He a lamp for His anointed ordained
To give light, in His plan He arranged
His enemies with shame He shall clothe low
But upon Him His crown flourish, so
His victory, His triumph, be seen sure
In His dwelling, e'er it He secures
-------------
* horn - symbol of strength and power

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 10.9.10.9. metre. I came across 'luculent' while thinking of 'luminous'. Today's new word. You all being luculent now - clearly expressing things, and shining brightly?!
